How do we protect your information?

Local Adventures has implemented security controls in order to prevent your personal information from being lost, changed, displayed or accessed without appropriate permissions. Data Retention

Personal information will only be kept for as long as necessary in order to service the company’s business operations. The storage time of personal information depends on the nature of the information and the legal obligations applicable to the processing of personal data, including but not limited to, tax or accounting laws. In rare cases, it may also be necessary to store data for legitimate interests such as for disputes.

Access to Personal Data

The right of access: You have the right to request access to your personal information and receive a copy of the information. This way you can make sure that the information is correct and that our processing is in accordance with law.

Right to correction: You have the right to have us correct any information about you that you believe is incorrect or inaccurate.

Right to delete data: In certain cases, you may be entitled to have us delete the personal information we hold about you. This is especially true in cases where the information is no longer necessary if you have objected to the processing of the information (see below), if the processing becomes unlawful, or if the processing was based on approval you have subsequently withdrawn. Local Adventures reserves the right, however, to evaluate each time whether data is required to be deleted.

Right to object to processing: If our processing is based on public interest or legitimate interests and you believe that because of your circumstances, your processing violates your fundamental rights, you may object to the processing. If you object, we will stop processing unless we can emphasize a legitimate interest in continuing it.

Right to limit processing: In the following cases you have the right to stop processing your personal information:

  • If you claim that your personal information is incorrect (until we can confirm that it is correct),
  • The processing is illegal, but you do not want to delete your personal information,
  • We no longer need the personal information to keep the process, but you need them to create, defend or defend legal claims,
  • You have objected to the process from above. In that case, we stop processing while we have not identified our legitimate interests by continuing it.

Right to withdraw consent: In cases where we are processing data based on your consent, you may always revoke said consent. Withdrawal of consent, however, does not mean that the processing that took place before the approval was revoked is illegal.
